Krautheim Castle history
During the Peasants' War, the castle was destroyed in 1525. After 1612 the Archbishop-Elector of Mainz enlarged and strengthened the fortifications of the castle. In 1845, the Grand Duke of Baden took steps to prevent the destruction of the castle. The castle currently belongs to the state of Baden-Württemberg.
