Old Castle history

Old Castle was besieged during the Peasants' War, but was not taken and received little damage. During the Second Margravial War, the castle was handed over to the army of Margrave Albrecht Alcibiades without a fight. Since 1818, the castle has been preserved by the Association for the Protection of Old Castle.
