Dr.-Martin-Luther-Strasse Tower was built around 1420 as the three-story, rectangular, northwestern flanking tower, located on the outer defensive wall of Dr.-Martin.-Luther-Strasse Zwinger, which in turn is the part of Dinkelsbühl Medieval Fortifications.
