Seyssel Defensive Barracks of Germersheim Fortress by EuroTourData
Seyssel Defensive Barracks was built around 1861 as the two-story barracks and the fortified house, located on the southwestern side of Germersheim Fortress, between Beckers Front and Schmauss Front. The barracks is a building with a front length of 284 meters and short side wings protruding at an angle of 45° at the ends. The entire front was equipped with loopholes to ensure that the main wing with the side wings fell, for crossfire on the attacking enemy.
