Pigeon Tower of Ochsenfurt by EuroTourData
Pigeon Tower was built in 1397 as the gate tower of Lower Gate, which in turn is the northwestern city gate of Ochsenfurt Medieval Fortifications. The tower was renewed in 1617. The tower housed an underground prison for criminals who committed a serious crime.
