Querfurt Castle by EuroTourData
Querfurt Castle was built in the 10th century (around 960 but not confirmed) as the castle for the Lords of Querfurt, and in 1350 was incorporated as the urban castle into the southwestern side of Querfurt Medieval Fortifications. Along the perimeter of defensive walls, the castle had counterscarps that protected lower parts from direct artillery fire. There is a museum that represents the history of the castle.
