Landsort Heavy Artillery Battery info
Introduction to Landsort Heavy Artillery Battery
Landsort Heavy Artillery Battery is one of the most advanced artillery forts in the world, and it will still be difficult to defeat in terms of accuracy, protection, and endurance. In this artillery system, the installation is based on the giant hundred and fifty-ton heavy cannon M-seventy of Bofors, which is located in the mine eighteen meters deep and is protected by a sixteen-ton heavy armor dome. The cannon was fully automatic and had a rate of fire of one shot in two seconds. The maximum range of 22-kilogram shells reached 30 kilometers.
Each artillery turret is a separate fort and had built-in rock rooms with everything necessary for a combat crew of 25 soldiers who could fight for a month without any external support. These forts could withstand chemical, bacteriological, and nuclear weapons. These artillery forts can be seen as the endpoint of the era of fixed defense.
