Rindö Redoubt by EuroTourData
Rindö Redoubt was built in 1864 as the coastal redoubt, to protect the northern waterway to Stockholm and was the part of Vaxholm Fortification Line. The redoubt is dominated by the horizontal keep directed to the northwest. The outer side of the redoubt is built of granite. The southwestern part of the redoubt has defensive walls with the ditch, the outside have the wide sector protected by dragon's teeth, and two caponiers which have a firing sector for the entire defense line.
